Four move on to National Senior Olympics Four McKenzians competed recently in the Tennessee Senior Olympics State Championships at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin. Nearly 1,900 athletes met for over a week of competitive events. Local competitors were Phil and Kathy Campbell, David Duncan Sr. and Debbie Doster. The top four winners in each event/age group qualified and will advance to the 2011 National Senior Olympics in Houston, June 19 – July 5, 2011. Read More ...

Pilot Club contributes to DES Pilot Club Contributes to Dresden School — The Pilot Club of Dresden gives continued support to Dresden Elementary School. The donation will be used to help finance the Citizen of the Month for all grades K-4. The Dresden Pilot Club is a human service organization and its members work together to improve the quality of life in communities throughout Weakley County. Receiving the check was Michael Laughrey, principal of Dresden Elementary from Cindy Higgins, Pilot Club treasurer.
